JM iCademy was born early in 2020, with the humble intention of educating the local community. It has since grown into an International online iCademy, with students from all over the world. We believe that no two children are the same and so offer tailored learning plans to best suit your child. From 4+ to 11+ through to GCSE's we offer tutoring and learning plans for Mathematics, English and Science.

Meet the Founder
Hi There, I'm Jabir Merali
I am a qualified Toxicologist and Safety Pharmacologist that’s diversified into tutoring. My passion for education and empowering students developed over years of peer interactions in both professional and educational environments. My journey to what I now call my dream job is one I would like to share with you.
The Story
During my time working as lead trial coordinator at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood, London I was fortunate enough to stumble upon a few tutoring opportunities. It began in 2017 with family and friends and slowly grew into what I now call an iCademy. As the number of students I took on slowly began to increase, I realised my passion was not just in helping those around me but really in the different ways in which future generations can be empowered.
I spent hours researching, reflecting and experimenting different approaches to tutoring. This led me to developing methods and techniques that consider student psychology, confidence and overall life experiences in order to get the best out of their learning.
The potential is endless, the idea of shaping the next generation excited me beyond anything that I had previously been a part of. I enjoyed the challenge of finding a balance between knowing the content and being able to actually apply the knowledge in a way that is relative to their lives. This usually succeeds as it either inspires appreciation and therefore retention of the knowledge or it at least makes logical sense to the students which once again reinforces the retention.
Each student is different; therefore, I believe that no two students can be taught or treated the same. Before I realised, I had more students than I had time for and so I took the plunge and quit my fulltime job.
Growing up, during my time at university and even in all my professional environments, the one constant has always been me tutoring my peers. It has sort of been starring me in the face all along and combined with my passion for learning and emotional growth this new path seemed too good to be true.
It’s been 5 incredible years of building this and I’m excited to finally launch JM iCademy that revolves around educating students on a secular as well as emotional level.
The aim is to facilitate your child’s growth and graduate independent students with a new found passion and appreciation for education and learning.
